What area of town do the Cubs play? I see people in apartments just outside the stadium and it looks cool.

The immediate area you are referring to is known as Wrigleyville, and it's a happening, lively area. You really only need to show up to find the bar that suits your style because they all different "personalities". There's everything from sports bars, to higher brow establishments. From what you describe in your post, it sounds like you will like The Hopleaf for sure (my personal fav as well). Jim Barleycorn is another popular one too.|||The Cubbies play in Lakeview, part of which is Boystown, and that's about the most liberal place you can find in the city. Chicago is on the lake so there's not a lot of need to get away to the lake for the weekend, but some people do go to Wisconsin or Michigan on the weekends for quiet.
