How to stay cool while playing baseball on a very hot day?

I am playing today in a baseball game and it is 95 degrees farenheit right now. The place were we are playing has no shade, just a big baseball diamond. I do have to pitch today which means I cannot cool down enough between innings to be able to stay cool in the next inning so what are some tips to stay cool, and beat the heat?

-thank you|||Bring water with you. If you want, you can bring ice packs with you outside to keep the drink cold, or just rub it on yourself for bit to stay cool. You don't have to bring a towel, they get stinky with all the sweat you drain. Make sure you drink water every five minute so that you don't get dehydrated. Also when your playing basketball, refrain from running too much, jumping is good, but not too much running. Do jogs instead.

Tony M|||Bring lots of water and drinks like Gatorade to replenish electrolytes.

Find a jersey or undershirt that is made of a "wicking" material. These pull moisture (sweat) away from the skin so more of it evaporates on the surface - keeping you cooler and more comfortable.

If there is any way you can bring anything to create shade - umbrella, tarp, even a white t-shirt you drape over your head between inning to keep the sun away - do so.

But most important is the fluids, you'll go through a lot and the more you keep yourself hydrated the longer you'll be able to stay in the game without tiring.|||Drink LOTS of water. Get a spritz bottle or a water bottle that has one of those pop- open tops to spray on your face and neck. Wet your shirt and hat with cold water. Actually try to sweat, ti cools down your body. Maybe put some ice in places like your hat or if your pants have pockets, let it sit there it will drip down:) Keep a pocket fan in your pocket if you have one. Bring a cooler fool of popsicles.

Good luck! Hope I helped!!

I know so hot out right?|||Being cool isn't as much as a big deal as getting dehidrated. Make sure to drink alot of fluids. But if you want to stay cool, bring a wet hand towl and rest it on your neck. do not wear yourself out by practicing pitching. take it nice and easy.|||put tons of ice and cold water into a cooler. then put a few dishrags/towels into it. put them on your head or neck. they majorly help!

also...DRINK LOTS OF WATER!|||drink lots of water and occasionally put some on your head. to cool down thats what I do when i play my fastpitch games|||water,|||install a vagina fan especially if you are on your period.|||Wet your hat and were whit shirt and gray shorts(white would get dirty)

LOTS OF WATER!!!|||boy i bet that game was fun to play in
