What are some cool things to get a best friend for their birthday?

I need to get my biff something, but I want it to be unique and cool, not something that she'll forget about after a day. Are there any awesome things that you've bought for friends or something that you really want for yourself? I need great ideas because I'm stumped, and she won't give me any guidelines.
