I really liked legos as a child but never really got into building stuff (woodworking, pvc, etc). Can anyone give me a cool project for a beginner? I have a lot of power tools at my disposal.|||A birdhouse is always good for a beginner because even if it turns out non-great, the bird will still like it. And if you hang your first try in a tree, nobody will see the non-great features.
As you develop skills, your birdhouses become more complex. Some beginning woodworkers develop skills to the point where they give the birdhouses as gifts.
Birdhouses have another advantage. You can use scrap lumber and unfinished logs, bringing your expenses down.
Finally, you get to exercise your designer talents.
Mayan|||First off, I'm really jealous. I wish I had a weekend where I could just build something cool with tools. I just build a bed for my son using bats and baseballs for the head and foot board. He's really into baseball and we had fun going to the hardware store and picking out pieces for it.
Do you have any pets? Would be fun to build a custom cat post or dog house. Also, if you are a collector....build some nice frames to store them in.
I get lot's of inspiration from some woodworking forum. I'll leave them in the box below.|||what about those warhammer models..|||A TREE HOUSE!!!!!!|||a Coy pond with waterfall, fairly easy and looks great
